We also collect information when a comment is submitted on this website. This data is collected in order to display visitor comments on our website. Furthermore, we also collect names and email addresses when a visitor signs up to our mailing list. This information is used for marketing communications with our visitors and is completely optional. Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Our website uses contact forms to collect visitor-submitted contact information and messages.We keep contact form submissions indefinitely for customer service purposes, but we do not use the information submitted through these forms for marketing purposes. Customer Purchase Information

When you make a purchase on our website, we collect the data necessary to complete the transaction. This usually includes the visitor’s name, email address, billing information, and contact information. We do not store confidential payment information, such as credit card numbers. Our payments are processed through PayPal.

We do not share any user data by default. If you choose to opt into our mailing list, we share your name and email address with our mailing list provider (Mailchimp) and use this data, with your permission, for marketing purposes.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

We keep contact form submissions, mailing list submissions, and customer purchase data indefinitely. Visitors may request to know what information is stored and have it deleted at any time. Get in touch to make that request.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. Our website is protected through an encrypted SSL certificate and we take all precautions to never release or share data other than the aforementioned instances which are required for our website to function properly. We also are dedicated to staying informed about any potential risks to security and data loss.

We have website security set up through the plugin Wordfence to notify us of any breach and in most cases, stop it before it happens. If we ever have a breach in data, we will disclose it immediately and take all possible steps to remedy it.
